Rachael is the Principal and cofounder of All Together, a design studio focused on placemaking, place branding, and community engagement. Her process is centered on empathy and results in joyful experiences for communities and their stakeholders—whether through the built environment, branded communications, or programming that captures the spirit of the place. Rachael believes in the power of color in public spaces and creating moments of playfulness in unexpected places.
Experience design
All Together is focused on placemaking, branding, and community engagement. The studio believes that good design can create emotional connections to places through good listening. A successful end product has to begin with an authentic understanding of a place and its people. All Together does just that, connecting with clients, residents, and stakeholders in an exciting and authentic way—turning visionary ideas into reality.
Pandemic project
The inaugural Evanston Winter Games ran through the month of March 2021 for individuals, families, and organizations to play, win prizes, and support local businesses while getting outside and staying active during the pandemic winter. The games involved a series of challenges through the free Eventzee app encouraging people to explore winter activities, share pictures and videos, support local businesses, and have fun with family and friends. Residents, businesses, and visitors tracked their performance through the app, and received points when they completed activities like winter art and nature hikes, sledding, ice skating, building snowmen, and warming up by firepits.
